Grand Trunk Pub in Downtown Detroit Reopens Next Week After Year-Plus Shutdown

July 22, 2021, 12:47 PM

Grand Trunk Pub on Woodward Avenue in downtown Detroit plans to reopen on Saturday, July 31, after being closed since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.

"We've renovated the bar, hand-painted the vintage architecture, hand-laid marble tile and revamped our menu and are doing 'Brunch All Day,'" the pub says in a press release. "We will still be focusing on local craft beer and an approachable but interesting cocktail menu."

For now, it will be open Friday-Sunday, 10 a.m. to midnight and we'll add more days as it gets fully staffed.

"We plan on doing Brunch All Day throughout the week as we add days also," Ashley Nalepa, assistant director of operations of the Grand Trunk Hospitality Group, tells Deadline Detroit.

The business takes bookings for $25 brunch preview tastings with open bar this Friday evening at 6 and 8:30, Saturday at 10 a.m. and Sunday at noon.
