Mudgie's deli owner Greg Mudge died of hypertensive and arteriosclerosis cardiovascular disease and pulmonary hypertension — or heart problems caused by high blood pressure — the Oakland County Medical Examiner's Office tells Deadline Detroit.

Mudge, who lived in Ferndale, died early Sunday at 46 years old. He'd recently had a good health check-up and was planning a camping vacation with his wife Liza Pulgini, his mother told The Detroit News.

Memorial and funeral details are not yet known. The restaurant is temporarily closed.
