The daunting Covid-19 numbers for Michigan continue to climb.
The state reported a total of 17,003 new cases for Tuesday and Wednesday, for a daily average of 8,502. Deaths totaled 280 for the two days, with 143 coming from vital record searches.
The seven-day average for daily cases as of Monday was 7,078 and 61 deaths.
The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services on Friday issued an advisory to wear masks indoors. Additionally, people 18 and over are being urged to get a booster shot.
Medical authorities brace for what they say will be a tough month in Michigan.
