The number of daily Covid cases in Michigan remains scary.
There were 9,222 confirmed daily cases on Thursday and Friday, and a total of 277 deaths in the two-day stretch (including 169 earlier ones identified during a vital records search), the Michigan Departement of Health and Human Services reported.
The latest numbers come as hospitalizations in the state continue to rise.
To date, the state has confirmed 1,336,566 Covid cases and 24,367 deaths. Nearly 1.1 million patients were classified as recovered as of Nov. 23.
