The arraignment on Wednesday

Oxford High School shooter Ethan Crumbley, accused of killing four students and wounding six others and a teacher on Nov. 30, entered a not guilty plea Wednesday during a virtual arraignment in Oakland County Circuit Court.

His attorney waived the reading of the charges and entered the plea. Crumbley, wearing a mask and orange prison outfit, sat silently at the Oakland County Jail with a sheriff's deputy to his left.

Judge Kwame L. Rowe, who presided over the hearing, set a status conference for next Wednesday at 2 p.m. for the prosecution and defense to set a new date for Crumbley's next hearing.

Crumbley, 15, had waived his right to a preliminary hearing in Rochester District Court, sending the matter to county court for trial as an adult.
