Detroit police are investigating an apparent hate crime on the city's west side.
Late Sunday night, they say a man knocked on another's door, called him a racial slur, then spray painted the slur and "WHITE LIVERS MATTER" on the back of the home on Vaughan Street, near Evergreen and I-96.
The suspect is said to be white. The victim is 35.
