Update: 2:25 p.m. Thursday -- Richard Wershe Jr., aka "White Boy Rick," tells WWJ that the charges in Miami are completely bogus.
Wershe was arrested Tuesday in Miami for allegedly attacking his girlfriend after they had sex in his Miami condo. She alleged that Wershe uttered another woman’s name and she quickly got out of bed. She alleged he forcefully grabbed her left arm and snatched a diamond bracelet and necklace that he had bought her. She managed to pull away, throw a shoe at him and miss — but Wershe caught up to her and punched her.
Wershe tells reporter Charlie Langton that the whole report is false and there was no punching. In fact, Wershe alleges she stole a $50,000 Rolex watch from him and then threatened to go to the police three days after they had sex. Wershe said she beat him to the station to make a fake report.
He faces charges of robbery by sudden snatching, a felony, and misdemeanor battery. He has been released on a $5,000 bond.

Report From Wednesday
Richard Wershe Jr., aka "White Boy Rick," who was paroled from prison in July 2020 after serving 32 years behind bars, was arrested Tuesday in Miami for allegedly attacking his girlfriend, WPLG reports.
Police arrested Wershe, 53, following a Saturday incident at his condominium on N. Bayshore Drive in Miami’s Edgewater neighborhood. Wershe is in the wholesale cannabis business, "The 8th by White Boy Rick," and is involved in charities and prison reform.
The two got into an argument during sex, the TV station reports, citing the police report:
While the two were having sex, Wershe uttered another woman’s name. She quickly moved away to get out of the bed, when he forcefully grabbed her left arm and snatched a diamond bracelet and necklace that he had bought her. She managed to pull away, throw a shoe at him and miss — but Wershe caught up to her and punched her. There was a witness who reported seeing Wershe punch his girlfriend in the chest.
The Miami Police report says that officers searched Wershe and found keys to a Lamborghini, nearly $11,000 in cash, a gold Rolex watch, two gold chains, and a set of AirPods.
He faces charges of robbery by sudden snatching, a felony, and misdemeanor battery. He has been released on a $5,000 bond.
Wershe was the subject of two films based on his drug trafficking days. The first one is a documentary, "White Boy," which is airing on Netflix. The other movie, "White Boy Rick," stars Academy Award-winning actor Matthew McConaughey.
Last month, Wershe appeared on the videocast, "Detroit in Black and White."
