Update: 6:45 p.m. Thursday -- The Tigers gave up two runs in the bottom of the 9th against the New York Mets, and lost 2-1. The Tigers, who are 5-1, return to Detroit and play their opener at Comerica Park on Friday against the Oakland A's.

The Detroit Tigers just keep winning. They pulled off a 6-3 victory Thursday afternoon in the 11th inning, breaking a 3-3 tie against the New York Mets at Citi Field in Queens.

They're 5-0, the only undefeated team in the majors. They're playing a second game Thursday afternoon.

The Tigers swept the three-game series against the White Sox in Chicago at Guaranteed Rate Field in Chicago (what an odd name for a stadium). And they've won two games in New York so far.

You might be thinking, "could this be the year?" Or you might be saying to yourself, "this can't possibly go on."
