Andrew Kozinski, one of the creators of the "Golden Butthole," a fun social media campaign in 2019 that mocked the giant sculpture on Hall Road in Sterling Heights, is at it again.

Kozinski, who is in the advertising business, has posted a video on Facebook in which he poses as a reporter for the "Mucumb Daily" near the 35-foot "Golden Butthole" and says with mock concern:

"It looks like it's peeling, what is this guys?

"Come on guys, let's do better."

In March 2019, after conducting a naming contest, the city of Sterling Heights officially called it "The Halo."

Apparently, the city wasn't fond of the name, "Golden Butthole" that Kozinski was promoting.

Melanie Davis, community relations director for the city of Sterling Heights, tells Deadline Detroit in a text Thursday night that the city is aware of the peeling paint.

"Our facilities maintenance has already contracted with a contractor to touch up that paint where needed. They are ready to go, but they just need the temperatures to warm up for enough days in a row that they can properly paint the structure. That is supposed to happen asap."
