New Detroit-Style Pizza Joint With Self-Serve Beer Taps Opens in Midtown on Saturday

Eastern Market Brewing Co. on Riopelle in Detroit is opening a Detroit-style pizza shop and brewery in Midtown featuring self-serve beer taps. 

Elephant & Co. will open Saturday at 456 Charlotte St., in a space previously occupied by Founders Brewing Co.

Billed as a pizza and beer company, Elephant & Co.'s name is a nod to Eastern Market Brewing Company's elephant logo and its other businesses. It's the second location for the brand. Earlier this year, the brewery's Lincoln Tap, which opened in 2022 on Lincoln Street in Royal Oak, was rebranded to Elephant & Co.

The Grand Opening is set for this Saturday, July 13. We're open from 9am to 11p with local DJs, the best Detroit-style to ever touch your lips and 50 self-serve taps pouring including a couple barrel-aged surprises.
