Detroit Mom Pleads Guilty to Murdering Son, 3. He Was Found in Freezer.

A Detroit mother, 33, pleaded guilty last Friday to second-degree murder in the death of her son, 3, who was found in an inoperable freezer in the home, the Detroit Free Press reports.

Azuradee France, 33, pleaded guilty in the death of her son, Chayce Allen. He died of blunt force head trauma and was believed to have been placed in the freezer in the basement in March 2022, Maria Miller, spokeswoman for the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office, told the Freep. 

Police discovered the boy's decomposing body when responding to a welfare check. 

The plea agreement calls for France to serve 35-60 years in prison, the Freep reports. Sentencing is set for July 29.

The child's decomposing body was found in the freezer in the basement in June 2022.
