The former Franklin Grill in Franklin, which closed early this year, will become the Franklin Oyster Bar & Eatery, Eater Detroit reports.

The Franklin Oyster Bar & Eatery, or the Franklin, is aiming to open by the end of the year. In addition to acquiring the former Franklin Grill site, Farner has also purchased the adjoining property at 32750 Franklin, which will be joined to the new restaurant by a shared back patio. The neighboring site will become an as-of-yet unnamed cafe where visitors can pick up grab-and-go sandwiches, flatbreads, salads, pastries, and coffee.
The Franklin Grill at 32760 Franklin Road operated for 16 years and was a popular spot in the neighborhood.
