Global star Rihanna on Friday is opening her downtown Detroit store, Savage X Fenty, which sells "sexy lingerie, elevated sleepwear" for women and men.
The store is another victory for Dan Gilbert's Bedrock, which has lured a number of big-name companies at its buildings on Woodward including Nike and Lululemon.
The store at 1442 Woodward, will have a cebration Friday that will include special giveaways, a live DJ set and light refreshments from 10 a.m. til close.
“Savage X means making your own rules and expressing your mood, character and style for you—not for someone else," Rihiana says on the company website.
The company also has shops in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Houston, Philadelphia and the Washington, DC-metro area.
