There's not an abundance of great sushi spots in downtown Detroit. That being said, Maru Sushi Detroit was one of the better ones.

On Sunday, after 7 1/2 years at 160 Fort Street inside the Federal Reserve Building, it closed.

"Thank you for your years of support— we hope to see you soon at our new location in Brighton!," the website said.

Maru Sushi has other locations in East Lansing, Kalamazoo, Midland and two outlets in Grand Rapids.

There aren't a lot of restaurants in downtown that serve sushi. There's Fishbone's in Greektown, Experience Zuzu and Hiroki-San.
