Chick-fil-A Plans to Add 25-30 Stores in Michigan by 2028, Including Downtown Detroit and Ann Arbor

Chick-fil-A plans to add about 25 - 30 new locally owned and operated restaurants in Michigan by 2028, generating more than 2,500 new jobs. 

The company, which currently has 28 restaurants in the state, made the announcement Wednesday in a press release. 

The locations include:

  • Chesterfield Township, Roseville, Taylor and Fort Gratiot (Fall/Winter opening)
  • Detroit, Auburn Hills, Lincoln Park, Orion Township, Clinton Township, Canton and Ann Arbor (No specific opening date). The outlet at the First National Building in downtown Detroit is under construction. 
  • Lansing, Jackson, Saginaw and Benton Harbor (2025 openings)

“With a unique blend of rural, suburban and city neighborhoods, Michigan is filled with tight-knit communities and proud residents. When looking to identify new opportunities to serve guests and support local communities and economic development, expanding our presence in Michigan was a clear next step,” said Scott Mayson, Area Director for the Midwest Region, in a statement.
