Former Fox 2 reporter Erika Erickson, who left TV a few years ago, is returning to TV news, this time at WDIV, the Detroit News reports.
In a posting on X, Erickson writes:
It’s been a bit of a rough road, so thank you for supporting me. I hope to support you in the best way I know: by staying grounded, healthy, & getting back to what I love: fighting for you & telling your stories. See you soon!
The News reports:
Erickson was a reporter at Fox 2 for eight years before leaving the station in November 2021. The Canton Township native and Wayne State grad, 40, was hired there after working in Traverse City for three years.
She left to work as the director of communications for the Wayne County Sheriff's Office, and later worked PR for Henry Ford Health. Her television exit followed her diagnosis with cervicogenic headaches, a form of headache that starts in the neck and can cause severe pain.
