WXYZ To Host Detroit Mayoral Debate in October Between Sheffield and Kinloch

WXYZ announced Monday that it will host a Detroit mayoral debate Wednesday, Oct. 15  at 7 p.m between Detroit mayoral candidates, Rev. Solomon Kinloch Jr. and City Council President Mary Sheffield.

The debate will be broadcast on WXYZ and on its various online platforms.

There was a debate among pundits whether there would be a debate or whether Sheffield, the perceived front runner, would avoid one.

There has also been talk of two debates, but it's unclear if that will happen.
