Macomb County Man, 21, Allegedly Flashed Badge and Gun in Road Rage Incident in Sterling Heights

Logan Shea, 21, of Clinton Township, is charged in a Nov. 16 road rage incident. Authorities allege that he flashed a security badge and pointed a gun at a motorist while driving in Sterling Heights.

Shea faces a preliminary examination Monday, Jan. 12, in 41A District Court in Sterling Heights.

Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido said in a press release that a motorist called police to report that a man in a white Chevrolet Silverado, later identified as Shea, displayed a badge and pointed a firearm at him.

The caller provided police with a description of the driver and the vehicle’s license plate number. No one was injured.

Authorities also said that while officers were speaking with the caller, additional units reported hearing gunshots near 19 Mile Road and Saal.

The vehicle linked to the gunfire was also described as a white Silverado. Again, no one was injured.

Officers later went to Shea's home, where they executed a search warrant and seized a security badge and multiple firearms, authorities said.

Shea faces charges of: :

  •  Weapons – firearms – discharge from a vehicle: (10-year   felony)
  •  Weapons felony firearm: (2-year felony consecutive to main   charge)
  •  Assault with a dangerous weapon: (4-year felony)
  •  Weapons felony firearm (2-year felony consecutive to main   charge)
