WXYZ Has Reached Deal to Return to Xfinity

Xfinity subscribers were none too happy Sunday when they couldn't watch Game 7 of the Detroit Pistons-Orlando Magic contest on WXYZ. Some had to go to friends or family or watch the game at a bar.

A contract dispute between Xfinity and WXYZ's parent company, Scripps, prevented customers from viewing any programming on WXYZ.

The good news: WXYZ-TV's and WMYD's parent company, Scripps, reached an agreement Tuesday with Comcast to return to Xfinity.

"We appreciate our viewers’ patience and look forward to serving them once again on the Xfinity service with local news, weather, live sports, and entertainment programming," WXYZ said in a post on its website Tuesday.

The only thing is, the Pistons playoff games against Cleveland won't be broadcast on WXYZ. Instead, the games will be on NBC and Prime Video.

But then again, the NBA Finals will be aired exclusively on ABC.
