New restaurants just keep on coming to Midtown and downtown.

The latest: The owner of Vicente's Cuban Cuisine in downtown Detroit plans to open Bolero Latin Cuisine on West Forest Avenue this summer. The Midtown newsomer will serve dishes from Peru, Argentina, Chile, Brazil and Colombia, reports Kirk Pinho of Crain's Detroit Business.

The restaurant will operate at  51 W. Forest Ave., previously occupied the Mid City Grill.

"The most exciting part in this project is the ingredients," he said. "I have a lot of ingredients from Latin America — marinated fish and citrus, a lot of ingredients from the Peruvian jungle, very rare types of fruit."
