Joe Glover
Joe Glover, an award winning reporter and lead anchor for Fox 2 in the 1980s, died Friday in Mobile, Ala. from complications associated with metastatic lung cancer, the station reports.
Anchor Huel Perkins calls him a tremendous colleague and friend. He's also saluted by another veteran Detroit news broadcaster, an anchor at WDIV:
So very sorry to hear of the passing of former @FOX2News anchor Joe Glover -- one of the class acts who set the Detroit anchoring standard so high.

After retiring from TV, he earned a University of Florida doctorate and became a professor of broadcast journalism at the University of South Alabama in Mobile. His illness forced him to retire in 2017.
