Detroit-Windsor Border Stays Shut to Non-Essential Travel at Least 1 More Month

The Detroit-Windsor border will remain closed to non-essential travel for at least another month due to concerns about Covid, the Canadian Press news agency reports.

Canada's Public Safety Minister Bill Blair says his nation will keep its border with the U.S. closed until March 21, and indicates it could be extended beyond that.  Most crossings were banned a one year ago because of Covid. 

Essential travel at the border has been allowed to let food, medical supplies and other crucial goods flow between the neighbors.
