It didn't take that long for Miguel Cabrera of the Detroit Tigers to end up on the injured list.

After eight games this season, Miggy has been placed on the 10-day injured list Sunday with a left bicep strain, MLive reports. It's unclear how it happened.

In 2016, Cabrera strained the same left bicep but missed only a few days to rest. In June 2018, he ruptured the tendon in his left bicep and missed the rest of the season.

To replace Cabrera, the Tigers have selected the contract of first baseman Renato Nunez.

The Tigers got off to a great start this season, beating the Cleveland Indians in the first two games. The team has since cooled off and has a 3-5 record.
