Deadline Detroit photojournalist Michael Lucido, whose parents are of Sicilian descent, grew up on the real deal when it comes to pasta and homemade tomato sauce.
So, he thought he'd put Eminem's new downtown Detroit restaurant, "Mom's Spaghetti," through the test on opening night on Wednesday. (See video below).
The restaurant is located at 2131 Woodward Ave., across from Comerica Park. Eminem himself manned the carryout window in the alley briefly and served a few customers. It's not cheap. There's Mom's Spaghetti for $9, Mom's Spaghetti with Meatballs for $12 and a 'Sghetti Sandwich for $11. A vegan option of vegan balls goes for $14.
