Police are looking for a hit-and-run driver in a gray Chevrolet Equinox who killed a 6-year-old girl Sunday afternoon as she crossed Bingham Road in Dearborn.
“This is a tragic accident and we offer our condolences to the family of the victim," Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad said in a statement. "The Dearborn Police Department is asking that anyone with information please come forward.”
The girl, whose first name is Batoul, was crossing the street around 2:50 p.m. when the car struck her. She was taken to Children's Hospital where she was pronounced dead. WDIV reports that both her sisters were with her.
