Amid clear skies and 40-degree temperatures, Donald Trump loyalists began gathering Saturday afternoon in Washington Township in Macomb County, many hours before the former president was scheduled to speak at a "Save America" rally.
Some carried signs and displayed bumper stickers making it clear they're no fans of President Joe Biden, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, Dr. Anthony Fauci and China. Doors to the Michigan Star Sports Center on Powell Road opened at 2 p.m. and Trump is scheduled to speak at 7 p.m.
Notables in the crowd include Mike "Mr. Pillow" Lindell and gubernatorial candidate Perry Johnson. Trump has endorsed several 2022 Michigan candidates, but has yet to back anyone for governor.
