The Tigers did it.
For a while, it didn't look so good Friday on Opening Day. The team trailed the Chicago White Sox 3-0. In the 8th inning, the Tigers tied it with a two-run single by Miguel Cabrera.
Then in the top of the ninth, the Sox's Andrew Vaughn homered to give the Sox the 4-3 lead.
In the bottom of the 9th, Eric Haase hit a solo home run to tie things up. Then Javier Baez's fly ball scored the winning run for the Tigers. At first, it looked as if the ball was caught, but under further review, umpires ruled that it hit the right field wall first before it was caught.
So, the Tigers are in first place and "on pace to go 162-0," the team tweets.
