Founders Brewing Co. announced that it had permanently closed its doors Monday.
"It is with great sadnesss that we announce that Founders Detroit Taproom will be permanently closing its door today," the Grand Rapids-based company posted on Facebook Monday eventing.
'Unfortunately, our Detroit location has not been immune to the struggle to regain foot traffic after temporary Covid closures that have impacted restaurants and bars across the nation. We are wokring deligently to find new positions within the company for the employees impacted by this closure."
Founders was founded in the mid-1990s in Grand Rapids.
In 2017, it opened the taproom at 456 Charlotte in Midtown Detroit.
