Republican Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp may be no friend of Donald Trump, but he's also no pal of Michigan's Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer.

Kemp is pushing back on Michigan's $30,000 online ad campaign that aims to lure residents from red states like Georgia, saying the Great Lakes state is more appealing for those who care about abortion rights and the gay and transgender community, the Detroit News reports. The campaign is running through September 30.

Garrison Douglas, press secretary for Georgia’s Republican governor, issued a statement:

"If the State of Michigan believes wasting taxpayer dollars on bragging about their disregard for life is an effective tool to attract workers to their state, they'll be in for quite the surprise."

Unlike Michigan, Georgia's population continues to grow, and our low cost of living environment, exploding and diverse economy, and historic investments in healthcare, education, and public safety will continue to attract Americans from all over the country to help us fill the thousands of new jobs being created."

The News reports that Kemp's response came a day after it reported about the Michigan ad campaign which also targets  Indiana, Florida, Indiana, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas.
