UAW President Shawn Fain says he has no desire to meet with ex-President Donald Trump who is coming to Michigan Wednesday to show suppport for striking auto workers.

Fain, appearing Tuesday on CNN, tells Wolf Blitzer that Trump has a poor track record of supporting the union, and finds it a "pathetic irony that the former president is going to hold a rally for union members at a non union business."

“I see no point in meeting with him because I don’t think the man has any bit of care about what our workers stand for, what the working class stands for,” he said. “He serves the billionaire class and that’s what’s wrong with this country.”

Trump plans to meet Wednesday with some union members and supporters at Drake Enterprises, an automotive parts manufacturer and supplier in Clinton Township.

Fain  tells Blitzer that his comments aren't an endorsement of any candidate, but simply an opinion about Trump.

On Tuesday, President Joe Biden visited a UAW picket line in Michigan and gave a brief speech supporting the workers' push for substantial raises.
