Biden is still the winner
With 10 months to go it may be too early to panic.
But...Republican candidate Donald Trump leads President Joe Biden by 8 percentage points in Michigan, according to a new statewide poll commissioned by The Detroit News and WDIV-TV (Channel 4).
The News reports that a survey of 600 likely general election voters in Michigan found only 17% said Biden deserved another term.
Richard Czuba, founder of Lansing-based Glengariff Group, which conducted the poll, tells the News that marks a low for a major public officeholder in modern Michigan political history.
Trump is the clear frontrunner for the Republican nomination. It's unclear if his pending criminal cases will have an impact if he's convicted before the Nov. 5 general election.
