James Crumbley Wednesday night.

Like his wife, James Crumbley, dad of mass school shooter Ethan Crumbley, was found guilty Thursday night on all four counts of involuntary manslaughter.

The jury's verdict in Oakland County Circuit Court was announced shortly after 7 p.m.

His wife Jennifer was convicted last month on all four counts of involuntary manslaughter for essentially being a negligent mother and not doing enough to intervene before her son went on a shooting rampage at Oxford High School in November 2021, killing four students and wounding six others and a teacher. The counts applied to the four murders.

James Crumbley, like his wife, were blamed for being irresponsible parents who should have done more to address their son's mental health issues. They were also faulted for buying their son a gun at a time when he was facing serious mental health issues.

They become the first parents in the U.S. to be convicted in connection to a school shooting.
