In jail phone calls before his trial, James Crumbley, father of Oxford High School shooter Ethan Crumbley, told his sister he was going to ruin Oakland County Prosecutor Karen McDonald's life, the Detroit Free Press reports, citing unnamed multiple sources.

Tresa Baldas of the Freep reports the phone calls, dating back to 2022, allegedly included Crumbley saying things like McDonald was going to hell soon, she better be scared and she was done. He has not been charged in connection with the alleged threats.

The specifics of the calls were publicly unknown until now. The prosecution during Crumbley's trial had mentioned that he had made threatening remarks behind bars, but it was unclear who those remarks were aimed at.

James Crumbley was convicted last week on all four counts of involuntary manslaugther relating to the four students his son Ethan murdered at Oxford High School on Nov. 30, 2021. His wife Jennifer was convicted last month of the same charges.

Their son fatally shot four students and wouded six others and a teacher. He is serving a life sentence.
