Effin Egg, a Florida-based fast-casual breakfast sandwich chain, plans to open a shop this summer at 4160 Cass Ave. in Midtown Detroit in the building previously occupied by "Treat Dreams" ice cream.

The shop specializes in all types of egg sandwiches and eggs in tacos, quesadillas and burritos. A  sign above the Detroit shop says: "Potheads Welcome."

One of the big sandwiches it promotes is The OG, which consists of apple smoked bacon, cage-free over medium egg, cheddar cheese and a signature Mexican sauce on a toasted brioche bun for $9.75. Another offering is Papi’s Breakfast Brisket Tacos, which includes house made brisket, cage free scrambled eggs, shredded jack cheese, pico de Gallo and a side of house made salsa for $8.

The shop also peddles waffles and pancakes.

Bad news for the late-night potheads, unless you're into staying up all night. The hours are 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., seven days a week.

The website says:

This is not your grand pa’s breakfast place. At Effin Egg we have some dope ass coffee. We roast our beans in small batches daily to give you the best tasting coffee around, as we say…Potheads Welcome!
