Republican vice presidential nominee J.D. Vance, working to win the swing state of Michigan, spoke in Macomb County Wednesday, railing against illegal immigration and vowing mass deportation under Donald Trump.
“I can't believe that anyone would actually think that you should open up the American Southern border to all of these criminals, you should let them commit crimes in our communities and then you should refuse to deport them afterwards and that’s exactly what Kamala Harris has done,” Vance said in a speech outside of the Shelby Township Police Department, according to Bridge Michigan.
The publication noted that "without evidence," Vance said that Harris’ rhetoric contributed to the deaths of three Michigan police officers killed recently in the line of duty.
They "lost their lives in the line of duty because Kamala Harris has sent out this message that it's open season on American police officers," said Vance.
