Erik Olson, owner of Thomas Magee's Bar on the E. Fisher Service Dr. in Eastern Market, is making certain there are no overt signs of Matt Stafford fandom in his bar Sunday when the Lions take on the Los Angles Rams in a playoff game at Ford Field.

So, he says anyone wearing a Stafford jersey will be turned away at the door.

"It's not different than enforcing any other dress code," he told Deadline Detroit Thursday. "We've got a security team at the door. We're just going to say, 'Not today.'"

"We're all die hard Lions fans at my bar," he said. "We always welcome, away fans and have great back and forth banter with them, and provide a great experience." But he said not on the first playoff game in decades.

Not everyone has applauded his Lions' loyalty.

There's some "really wretched people out there," he said referring to comments made on stories posted in other media outlets.

"Guys are commenting on my mom's shit. People tell me I'm on Epstein's fucking log. And all I serve is Bud Light cause I'm a liberal. I also got called a totalitarian and a bully. I've also been called a snowflake."

In early 2021, Detroit quarterback Matt Stafford, who was beloved in this town, was traded to the Los Angeles Rams for Ram's quarterback Jared Goff.

Stafford went on to win the Super Bowl. The Lions went 3-13-1 that season.

Both Stafford and Goff are having strong years.

The Lions are favored by 3.
